Ktl Plant Process Engineering Team Supervisor

Led a 12-member team of Kazakh national engineers responsible for providing process engineering support to the KTL Plant area of the Tengiz operation. The KTL Plant produces ~50% of TCO's Tengiz crude production (660,000 bpd) from 5 parallel trains. Operations supported include sour oil and gas production and separation; crude stabilization and demercaptanization; gas compression, desulfurization, and dehydration; LPG desulfurization and fractionation; sulfur recovery and tailgas clean-up; and storage and shipping of oil, gas, and LPG. Secondment assignment from Chevron as a U.S. expatriate employee.Tengiz facilities include six crude/gas trains processing 660,000 bpd of stabilized crude, 700 MMSCFD of gas, and 40,000 bpd of LPG; five sulfur recovery/tail gas units producing 7,250 tpd of sulfur; one sour gas dehydration and compression facility injecting 250 MMSCFD at 7,500 psig.Key Job Responsibilities:• Provide process engineering support for KTL Plant Operations, Maintenance, and Capital Projects to achieve business plan production, operating expense targets, and capital project goals.• Provide guidance and solutions to KTL Plant Operations to optimize crude/LPG production while maintaining product quality and minimizing emissions, effluents, and wastes • Manage the development of technical and leadership skills of team members with mentoring and coaching for performance, competency, and career development• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities and reduce process safety risks through better process monitoring, process control, and equipment/instruments• Supervisory responsibilities (e.g., monitoring progress of team commitments, ensuring quality of all work products, and conducting performance evaluations / reviews)
