• Directed the Washington Hospital Center’s (WHC) Compliance Program. Ensured accurate patient/third party billing and compliance with Federal/state/D.C. laws/regulations and private payer guidelines/standards.
• Investigated reports of non-compliant activity, related to but not limited to, documentation, coding, or billing from a variety of sources, including patients, calls to the compliance line, or employees.
• Directed the documentation and coding review process for over 200 employed physicians and non-physician practitioners.
• Coordinated and managed compliance audits by outside government agencies and contracted auditors.
• Developed and conducted compliance training to approximately 400 attending physicians, residents, and non-physician practitioners.
• Investigated compliance issues and coordinated efforts to facilitate resolution.

• Managed compliance activities and provider training for MedStar Health with primary emphasis on Washington Hospital Center, Georgetown University Hospital, and MedStar Physician Partners, Inc.
