- Ensure product vigilance and risk management systems in place in order to assure appropriate oversight for products within its SSA Cluster- Ensuring that the LOC activities, related to medicinal and non-medicinal products are managed in compliance with local regulations and company policies/procedures at local, regional, and global level and in accordance with any product vigilance agreements with third party business partners- Responsible for the leadership, development, and performance management of the country/cluster team to achieve company objectives and culture. Develop and enhance the capabilities and capacities of the team through the identification and implementation of training and development needs.- Leading local internal PV audits and HA inspections.- Maintain expertise in country/cluster as well as worldwide regulations and guidelines and promote increased awareness of the legislative and regulatory environment in the cluster.

Ghana

- Establish and maintain a robust PV structure as per J&J company policies and in compliance with Ghana FDA PV regulations.- Ensuring LOC PV activities are managed in compliance with local regulations and company policies at local, regional or global level in accordance with any PV agreements with 3rd party business partners.- Leading local internal PV audits and HA inspections.- Provide support in capacity as back up LSO to maintain J&J PV structures in Nigeria and Kenya in accordance with respective HA regulations.- Proactively interact with local HA and professional bodies in shaping local PV regulations.

Ghana

• Coordinate collection of reports and feedback regarding safety monitoring of Merck products in Ghana as well as liaising with Global PV on local monitoring procedures• Implement good PV practices in Ghana as directed by Merck Global PV• Leading internal local PV audits• Overseeing the safety profiles of the company’s marketed products and any emerging safety concerns• Ensure collaboration with all relevant functions where adverse event (AE) information may arise andensuring that AE information/reconciliation is performed on a regular basis as required• Maintaining the local PV system
