Business Systems Manager
CurrentManage activities supporting a variety of technical networks and systems. This is accomplished by supervising staff and related activities and tasks, preparing budgets, maintaining schedules, coordinating efforts with internal users, deploying, and supporting technology solutions, serving on committees, recommending changes and upgrades, and coordinating with vendors. Other duties include supporting staff and departments and providing technical assistance.• Develops and implements processes and procedures for installation and maintenance of systems, software and hardware by reviewing requests, researching trends, working with departments and vendors, researching costs and funding availability, and scheduling and completing installations. • Completes strategic planning efforts by reviewing new technologies; meeting with departments, executives and elected officials; reviewing training needs; establishing long term goals and objectives; and managing budgets. • Modifies systems and software by reviewing and assessing needs, coordinating work with vendors and/or consultants, installing and configuring equipment, inspecting work in progress, and documenting efforts. • Manages systems by creating replacement schedules, researching new technologies, estimating funding, completing reports and documentation, reviewing security and authorization changes, creating authority rights, creating and scheduling work orders, and approving expenditures. • Provides for application security by reviewing requests and determining rights, accessing system for changes, notifying requestors, and troubleshooting technical issues.• Continue previous responsibilities listed for Senior Business Systems Analyst.
