As Sales Manager for Microfiltrex and then Porvair, I moved the production from Vokes in Guidlford to Porvair and achieved in excess of 40% growth whilst there. The main success was selling a complete system to the British Navy for filtration of drinking water onto the British Fleet to protect against Cryptospridium Parvum. Looking after both the UK and export and the sales team I built the sales and support within the Microfiltration division to the point I left to form CFS.

I was brought in to take forward the microfiltration sales and train and assist the existing sales force. Filterite was not well known in the UK and Seitz was known for sheet filter sales. Cartridge sales grew nicely over the period to both distributors accross Europe as well as in the UK

As group Manager I looked after a team from DCE (Dust Control), Vokes air, Vokes Microfiltration. The head office was in Leicester but Microfiltration was in Guildford for which I was also responsible. The group enjoyed good growth and the Microfiltration division grew well over the period via both direct sales and distribution. Responsible for £5M sales

Schumacher filters produced wound filters and sold ceramic filters but I joined the company to develope and push th Microfiltration side. Initially filters were purchased and rebranded and sales grew rapidly. The laboratory and assembly was installed at Sheffield and a distribution network built and trained across Europe. Mid time PTI urchased Schumacher and then PTI filters were substituted and promoted. PTI is now part of Parker

Covering the southern UK in the early days of domnick hunter and building to a £2M uk sales. Training in all aspects of filter production, membrane casting and manufacture, filter testing and validation etc was excellent. Southern area increased in sales by over £200K each year to a wide range of smal and large end users.

Martletts was a top distributor for Atlas Copco and domnick hunter pneumatics. Sales of capital equipment and tools as well as filters and dryers hit record levels accross Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset etc. The level of sales lead to a recommendation for a postion at domnick hunter without the need to apply.
