The Small Business Advisor II is an intermediate level position in the Business Banking team, and plays an integral role in the delivery of superior personalized advice based service to our Small Business Member owners.The position is accountable for the development/administration of a Small Commercial Loan and Deposit portfolio, including accountability for the competent management of that portfolio. Emphasis will be placed on loan administration, sales, service, Member advice and growth.Working closely with the Team Lead, Small Business Advisor, Retail Branches and Business Banking, the successful individual will implement a proactive approach to sales and business development by cultivating a strong working relationship with existing and potential members, the retail branch network, local business owners, and members of the professional community.They also play a key role in the delivery of our full suite of financial services to our entire membership by being part of a team that encompasses our membership base. They fulfill that role by uncovering the full financial needs of our members and referring those members to Retail Banking, Wealth management, or Business Solutions. They use their coaching skills and expertise to assist their staff in helping members achieve their financial goals through a needs analysis process. They display effective business development and retention skills and strive to attain personal, branch and corporate goals by identifying opportunities to sell or refer products and services. They foster an environment in which our members feel at home, perceive our staff as knowledgeable, and view Servus Credit Union as a good corporate citizen. The FA II utilizes their expert knowledge and applies their technical expertise in the delivery of all financial products/services, including lending and investments to assist members in meeting their goals. The successful FA II will educate our members and staff, using wealth management and debt management concepts, and identify opportunities to refer or sell additional products and services.
