About Derek Blagg
I have spent the past thirteen of my 25 years at Varec in senior leadership roles. I am currently the Director of Products and Delivery where I help to define the company’s growth strategies, manage product requirements and delivery and am responsible for a team of product managers, systems engineers and support staff. Prior, I served as the Director of Programs where I provided management oversight for Varec’s largest oil and gas customers. I also spent several years as a Program Manager, Senior Solutions Integration Engineer, Commercial Airport Applications Manager, and Systems Analyst/Instructor were I helped to design, build and deploy solutions for the oil and gas industry. My career in the oil and gas industry started in 1994 with the United States Air Force as a POL troop.My strengths include leadership, strategic planning, tactical execution, problem solving, program and project management. I understand how to balance the needs of the customer with the needs of the organization. I believe in creating partners instead of customers and growing relationships for the future.
