At Meritor, I worked as an order picker and loader in shipping. Using a forklift, I picked customer orders. I worked in a special group, called Unit Down, where we picked orders for customers that needed to be shipped quickly, accurately and with many specific requests. I spent time on the loading dock. Loading trailers with speed and accuracy. While in receiving, I unloaded the trailers, signed drivers BOL's to insure the proper product was delivered. Upon delivery, I entered the product into the computer system to be checked and put away into location. I also stocked the storage locations with a reach truck. I was also in charge of the radio, controlling where each trailer was placed in the doors for unloading and was responsible for scheduling deliveries.
