Worked for Tyco Fire and Integrated Systems in the position of Global Business Development Manager. The company manufacturers various electrical equipment and systems for the industrial and petro-chemical industries including, but not limited to: fire alarm and detection equipment, public address & general alarm systems / voice alarm (PA/GA and PA/VA), CCTV system solutions, telephony communications products and control station panels.From a foundation in electronics engineering in the safety / security and communications sectors I developed into project engineering and project management roles and then moved into technical sales and business development /marketing positions. My integrated systems knowledge includes fire detection systems including public address & voice alarm (PA/VA) systems, intruder detection including perimeter fence detection systems, access control / door closing systems, public address and general alarms systems (PA/GA), CCTV surveillance systems and inter-communications systems. However my systems knowledge also extends to network solutions including telephony and LAN/WAN solution amongst other specialist systems such as personal tracking systems.In my position as Business Development / Sales and Marketing Manager I work within the global sales team with the main objectives to work to meet with existing and new customers and end users to develop current and new business and provide technical sales product / systems promotion, support and training, as well as identifying major project opportunities and participating in project bids and presentations in terms of both product and system design concept architecture and optimum installation implementation. Additionally I gained product and system feedback from customers and clients for both product and system development and marketing. These activities are recorded and tracked using Salesforce CRM.
