Formed a LLC focused on bringing our unique design for a car mounted awning to the market. Our awning had two unique features that separated it from the competition. First a single person could set up and take down the awning in under 10 seconds, other designs usually take around 2-5 minutes. Second our awning was freestanding and did not require support legs, very few awnings on the market have this feature. The product was launched on kickstarter and our funding goal was reached in the first 4 days. We were able to produce and deliver all awnings within 8 Months of receiving the funds from kickstarter.Besides the metal work all other work to produce the awning was done in house (screen printing, 3d printing, stitching, assembly, packing & shipping). One of our goals was to use U.S suppliers as much as possible. in the end more than 95% of parts came from U.S suppliers and 100% of labor & machine work was done in Washington State. Following our successful kickstarter we accepted an offer to be acquired by Kammok and our product became the Kammok Crosswing.
