Derek oversees all facades of project development serving as the Client’s advocate to ensure the common goal of project success is achieved by all stakeholders. Derek makes certain that a strong team is built first before the design and construction of the physical building occurs. This collaboration brings budget and schedule clarity and efficiency to the project leading to a better overall project experience; one where teams want to work together again in the future.

As Project Leader, Derek was responsible for the daily communication with clients and other project teams members and ultimately responsible as Echelon's representative for coordinating, scheduling, and planning to ensure projects successfully met budgets and schedules. Derek trained in-house teams on effective project administration skills and processes and guided them in resolving construction conflicts and differences in personalities. Building strong teams overall, Derek was able to enhance collaboration and productivity that led to an overall better project experience.
