My time with Mizuho Securities was largely focused on value creation. Previous to my leadership over the equity capital markets platform (common stock, convertible securities, equity derivatives, private placement), Mizuho had no investment banking presence in the US. Key accomplishments included: • Overhauled an underperforming equity capital markets business and transforming it into a formidable and competitive business within the US landscape. • Generated 4x increase in revenue (revenue targets were exceeded throughout tenure). • Established new major revenue contributors related to convertible and equity derivative business. • Effectively served a broad client base consisting of corporate entities and private equity and venture capital firms. Most notably, Allergan, Teva, SoftBank, The Vision Fund, Liberty Media, WebMD, Silverlake, First Data and KKR.

Following a lengthy tenure at Banc of America Securities, I transitioned over to Plural Investments running the global capital markets business for this equity long/short hedge fund ($500M AUM). This role established a successful track record of investing in capital market offerings as I focused on making investment decisions on equity new issues (IPOs, follow-ons, block trades and convertible offerings). Key accomplishments included: • Tripled annual revenues for Plural’s equity new-issue business. • Achieved win ratio of 90%+ for IPOs and 70%+ for follow-on offerings. • Participated in anchor investor, pre-IPO rounds, reverse inquiries, and wall-crossings.

Assumed brief transitional role in the startup stages of a new brokerage developing advisory and underwriting business for insurance-linked products, debt, and equity.

Throughout my 11-years with Bank of America Securities, I was able to create a foundational brand for myself in the investment banking space as well as take part in establishing Bank of America as a global investment banking powerhouse. As Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets in particular, I oversaw our equity capital markets platform which involved 90 staff under my direct/indirect report. Key highlights during this time included influencing sharp revenue increases and significantly expanding US market share (#1 – convertibles, #5 – equities, #4 – IPOs).
