In my role as a Borehole Seismic SME for Gaia I provide crucial QA/QC services for Borehole Seismic Surveys, ensuring accurate data collection. I also supported various VSP surveys in the field, contributing to their operational success. Additionally, I am responsible for the installation and removal of the Gaia Wireline Protection System.

Consultant Seismic Field Engineer providing Operational and Technical Expertise and Quality Control to customers/clients on all types of offshore/onshore seismic services(Vertical Incidence, Walkaway's, Zero Offset and Fixed Offset VSP's). • Project manager for OptaSense on two different Multi-Well DAS VSP projects in the UKCS. Primary roles were to manage the third-party contractors and act as the focal point for OptaSense and their client during the survey’s.• Seismic engineer for Halliburton for offshore projects in Azerbaijan, Morocco and Israel, Prepare and integrate Halliburton equipment with a third-party seismic vessel (guns, controllers, nav systems). Prepare and test the downhole tool system with the associated recording systems. Lead the various teams in country to successfully deliver seismic work scopes as required by the clients.Assist a number of locations with troubleshooting and repair work for their Seismic equipment, (Downhole tools, surface sytems, source equipmetn ETC..)

Lead Seismic engineer for the preparation and maintenance of all equipment required for Seismic work scopes in EESSA for Halliburton.Lead the various teams in a number of locations to successfully complete VSP projects on highly successful contracts in Morocco, Israel and Azerbaijan.Assist a number of other locations with troubleshooting their downhole tool failures.

Regional lead Engineer for the acquisition of downhole seismic data for the Eurasia, Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa region and globally as required. • Organized and Mobilized equipment for multiple lucrative contracts which ensured high quality data sets were delivered to the customer. • Collaborated with the client to ensure the correct equipment was sourced for a project where they had little experience, this ensured the project was completed safely, efficiently and was financially viable for all involved.• Developed and Implemented a plan for periodic equipment maintenance, this produced an increase in the productivity and reliability of the equipment.• Optimised logging programs to ensure quality seismic data was recorded.• Supervised a highly successful seismic operations team in West Africa where the contract was extended for 2 years and gained additional up sales.• Selected to deputise for the Field Service Manager and Regional Seismic Technical and Business Development Manager.• Provided remote support for operations across the region to ensure developed solutions were delivered efficiently and within target.

Due to a company sale I took the opportunity to transfer from the UK to the Norwegian arm of the business. I continued in a similar role for the borehole seismic side of the business and as the company expanded its services I was also utilised on all of the company’s micro-seismic monitoring jobs.

Through proven ability achieved the role as a senior engineer in charge of seismic operations for remote bases including Luanda, Malongo and on international operations. This role covered acquisition and field processing of acquired downhole data, job briefings, job reporting, failure reports, risk assessments and local client contact.

After a successful period as a trainee I was advanced to Acquisition engineer.I was primarily used alongside a senior engineer on a variety of seismic surveys, which involved risk assessments, post job reporting, basic processing and client contact.

I was given the opportunity to train as an acquisition engineer and was involved with a variety of offshore seismic surveys as a trainee (CS, VIVSP, Walkaways, ZOVSP and FOVSP) primarily offshore Angola. This also involved pre and post job tool maintenance.

Employed as a field engineer to operate and maintain remote source equipment. I was in charge of ensuring that all aspects of the remote source equipment involved in VSP surveys worked to the correct standard and that the operations were carried out safely. This included - High pressure air compressors, knuckle boom crane, G-Guns, Sleeve guns, bolt guns, RTS source controllers and Avalon Sciences RSS 2 systems.

Carried out various maintenance and repair tasks to marine engineering systems onboard naval vessels, at sea and in port.Served onboard HMS Fearless, on 3 separate occasions. Also served onboard HMS Intrepid and was part of the Royal Navy Display Team in 1995.
