Research and writing of technical work procedures, use of SAP enterprise software in creating work orders, ordering and tracking parts. Planning of approved and scheduled maintenance jobs; ordering materials, complete job scopes for contractor bids, thorough review of all areas of maintenance tasks of an entire work order (parts, materials, health and safety considerations, all craft workers required and quantity, time and cost estimates, equipment positioning/equipment rigging requirements, and group meetings to develop scheduling in consideration of all other jobs for a complete maintenance outage. Extensive use of company and construction engineering companies technical drawings (pdf and tiff), technical manuals, MSDS database, product data sheets, engineering standards and references, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Outlook, MS Sharepoint, etc.

Shift Electrician; providing corrective/ preventative electrical maintenance at a rolling hot strip mill. Use of AC/DC meters, basic electrical and common hand tools. Troubleshooting of electrical and electro-mechanical issues utilizing meters, sensory observations, Human Machine Interfaces, Seimens S-7 PLC's, LogiCAD, process analaytical software (Iba), fault indicators and warning/fault memories, etc. Lock Out/Try Out of Variable Frequency Drive’s, hydraulic pumps, lubrication pumps/accumulators, gas and oxygen/pneumatic systems. Reading of electrical schematics and one line drawings, basic piping and tubing schematics, and mechanical drawings.

I spent two months working PT as a work study student (ECPI University) at the Hampton Veteran's Medical Center, left to attend to full time studies while drawing full housing allowance via VA Post 9/11 GI Bill. Performed simple administrative and customer service duties.
