High pressure dynamic environment. It was very results orientated. I had a single specific project which was just a prototype when I got there day 1 and soon developed into a full blown live system. Great People, Great Company. Really enjoyed it.

I am currently responsible for ensuring the Esri mapping system produces accurate road transport distance data (both shortest and quickest routes) for the whole of the UK business. This data affects Hanson systems throughout the transaction life cycle, starting at quote, then delivery scheduling, and finally the payments to drivers upon delivery. To achieve this I employ ArcCatalogue, ArcMap, JTX and SQL, including extensive data editing and route (and sub-route) network construction and investigation. This route solution is unique to Hanson, using specific vehicle dimensions and penalties, plus street and manoeuvre restrictions agreed between Hanson UK and local councils. Data gathering is a constant on-going task which involves a close working relationship with the local facilities and the transport management. Alongside this is the maintenance and support of the mapping system (Esri) which is utilized by SAP and SyncroTESS. I resolve all Hanson mapping issues on a UK wide basis, including (but not limited to) routing, creation of new streets & facilities, data integrity and geocoding, using the Esri software suite. As the project rolled out I undertook an extensive data gathering exercise including day sessions spent interviewing local drivers for Hanson, and updated the development system real time to verify routes as quickly as possible. As this process expanded I became responsible for a small team to complete the data gathering for the UK.

I have managed many projects and teams to a successful conclusion, I am able to employ Prince II, ITIL and several other methodologies to each stage of a project life cycle to ensure progress is made quickly and efficiently every step of the way.
