Substance Abuse Risk Reduction And Suicide Prevention Programs Manager
CurrentResponsible for initiating, designing, monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating existing US Army alcohol and drug abuse Risk Reduction Program (RRP) efforts and providing recommendations and conclusions based upon findings and analysis of those findings. Work across all elements of the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) worldwide. Conduct on-site staff inspection and assistance visits to IMCOM subcommands, regions and their installations to ensure regulatory compliance and total ASAP implementation. Develop systematic procedures for evaluating RRP needs for IMCOM Army civilian and military personnel and their family members. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating the medical, emotional, behavioral, and/or alcohol and drug related problems within the civilian and military environment and assisting in the development of a RRP action plan to assist with these problems on military installations and communities. As the HQ IMCOM Suicide Prevention Program Manager, responsible for all program goals and objectives for the active Army enterprise. Disseminates policies and procedures covering all facets of the program as it pertains to active duty personnel, civilian employees, family members and retirees. Review regional and installation current and projected plans, programs, and annual operating budgets for accomplishments of objectives identified. Reviews, recommends approval or rejection of priorities concerning resources for all functional components of the Suicide Prevention Program or recommends modifications of budget submission based on program requirements and resources available. Conduct program evaluation studies and on-site surveys or staff assistance visits to ascertain compliance with overall program policies and plans to ensure mandatory requirements are being fulfilled by the Region/installation Army Suicide Prevention Program Managers.
