AEMEE is the peak body representing indigenous businesses working in the mining, oil and gas sector.

I was one of the founding directors of NPC which is a very successful Indigenous business that began its operations at Century Zinc mine. NPC is owned by the Waanyi people and is a major employer of Indigenous people in the Gulf of Carpentaria region.

The role involved the implementation and development social and economic programs for the Waanyi people. The work involved the development of Northern Project Contracting which provided the vehicle for economic prosperity for the Waanyi people. The key social programs developed included the Waanyi language revitalisation program, sporting scholarships.

The role involved the implementation of commitments from the Century Mine Agreement to develop the Bidunggu community. The aim of the role was to construct housing, community infrastructure and developing economic and social programs aimed at providing a sustainable community.
