I am currently the President of the association for the study of medical education (ASME). I currently a member of the GMC group working on the medical license assessment and on the GMC equality and diversity sub group.I was the national director of the uk foundation programme for 10 years since its inception.I was also the postgraduate dean of Wales again for ten years and 3 years as post graduate dean for Leicester,Northamptonshire and Rutland before that. I was the chair of the conference of postgraduate deans UK. I was the president of the academy of medical educators and one of its founding membersI am currently working with the Medical academy,a company that produces high quality interactive educational material for healthcare professionals. It also leads on the healthcare leadership academy which develops young leaders into the mainstream NHSI am also Th external consultant for Worcester university application to become a medical school My current research interests are in inter professional education and have been working with peers at university of Cardiff and John Jenkins from RCCHP.
