Project managing the Refresh and Transformation of the Police National Core IT Infrastructure, this was a major IT Transformation Project implementing a UCS Cisco ACI Fabric Network into one of the UKs most critical Networks, the PNC Network is responsible for hosting applications which are critical to 24 UK Police forces, the projects aim was to refresh and transform ageing EOL / EOS network devices to a new ACI platform, Refresh Primary and DR DC’s and add a new tertiary DC, migrate applications, following an evaluation process onto either the new in house HVE (Virtual Estate) or AWS Cloud where necessary, as Lead PM my responsibility ranged from Senior Stakeholder Management, Project Governance and Planning, managing 3rd Party suppliers and professional services providers, Project budget control, Managing over 20 SME’s, daily Stand Up meetings utilising Kanban Boards and MSPP.

Project managing Network Transformations for WPP, a major Advertising and Digital Marketing client with an international presence in over 350 countries and 2500 sites, responsible for managing Core network infrastructure migrations into an AWS Public Cloud environment Having previously worked for NSC, I returned to work for the Refresh Team for the same Client, the Refresh Team are responsible for upgrading End Of Life (EOL) Core and Edge Network Devices on a Like for Like (L4L) basis utilising AWS infrastructure Services, main duties were Global Firewall, EMEA Core Infrastructure Refresh (IaaS) and Application migration into AWS AppFlow (SaaS) ENV, all deliverables were produced and implemented within permitted timescales.

Managing two work-streams -Wi FI Remediation Project and Network In A Box (NIAB), The Wi Fi Remediation project aims to address WPP OpCo’s Wireless issues Globally, replacing EOL devices and Transformation of the existing estate, whilst the NIAB project offering targets Smaller OpCo’s, Refresh of the existing Network devices by way of Cisco ENCS and Cisco 9300 switches, both projects were rolled out across the WPP Global Estate. Data Centre relocation and Application Migration Project, Managing the separation and migration of Homebase IT Estate from ARG (Argos Retail Group) hosted in Fujitsu DC to IBM DC in North Harbour, migrating infrastructure, applications, support services, creating detailed migration Wave Plans for the migration of Homebase’s SAP, Oracle, and BPoS (Point of Sale) applications to IBM’s Data Centre. Hosting Migration Project Manager - Managed the migration of BBI’s Hosting platform, transitioning BBI’s estate from an in-house solution to a dedicated Data Centre environment within Fujitsu, migrating the entire BBI infrastructure platform including Business Critical Servers / Applications and file Shares by way of P2V, V2V, new VM builds, SQL Database migrations via Platespin, managing the relationship between Application Business Owners, Stakeholders, testers and external 3rd Party Service Providers, managing UAT and acceptance sign off. Cisco Call Manager Migration - also managed the migration of 150 users across 3 business divisions onto a shared Balfour Beatty Cisco CUCM platform.All projects were completing within timescales and budget.

Building Schools for Future (BSF) programmeDelivering a number of infrastructure migration and refresh projects within the education sector for London borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) Schools localisation project, this project de-coupled a shared Central Server Farm (CSF) for 14 schools and delivered new network and virtual server infrastructure, I was responsible for mapping technical requirements, resource planning, managing design/test implementation phase to handover to BAU support.VMWare – Hyper-V 2012 R2 UpgradeManaged the upgrade and data migration from VMWare – Hyper-V 2012 R2 platform, acting SPOC, responsible for full project life-cycle, initial requirement gathering, creation and agreement of the PID, project governance, cost control and reporting, resource planning, managing procurement activities. The project was successfully completed and signed-off within project tolerance.

Managed Capital One’s application migration transformation and Network SVI (Switched Virtual Interface) migration. The project aims to reduce hosting costs by increasing their virtualisation footprint whilst migrating to new more efficient infrastructure, this is a customer facing environment, liaising with off shore third party support to meet challenging dead lines. Responsibilities and duties ranged from planning and executing application and network migrations. NetApps to EMC Isilon upgrade, SAN zoning, vCentre and Plate Spin prerequisites, Storage Cutovers, P2P, P2V and Lift and shifts, managing business continuity, supporting business change and progress / issue reporting on the ITP transformation project status.

Serco Local Government and Commercial TFL (Transport for London) LCHS - Data Centre Expansion (July 2011–Mar 2013)Provided leadership, strategic thinking and business acumen in delivering Tfl’s data centre expansion for the London Cycle Hire network. The project aims to address additional infrastructure requirements prior and post Olympic Games.Acting SPOC liaising directly with sponsors to define business requirements, working in alliance with senior users to plan and execute delivery of infrastructure, VM ware and servers, storage and applications requirements, reporting progress to senior board members on project status and commercials, Supporting business / network change requirements, managing risk, client expectations and impact analysis, tracking escalation of technical & business issues, developed client UAT and internal BAU acceptance requirements.Serco - London Borough of Richmond upon Thames SAP Network Upgrade / Relocation Project The solution required the existing SAP environment to be upgraded from SAP R/3 to SAP ECC6. Led analysis outlining cost savings and relocating the landscape to an in house environment. Project lead for application migrations, liaising with professional partners ensuring that all migrations were accepted by change control. Ensuring that vendor and 3rd party support structures’ were capable of delivering their services defined under SLA’s. Also ensuring that the entire infrastructure was audit compliant or that a roadmap for compliance was documented and understood.
