About Derek Griffiths

I am currently a 1L at Marquette University Law School. I previously graduated from Springfield College with a degree in Sport Management. Throughout my time at Springfield, I performed volunteer experiences within the industry such as The Spalding Hoophall Classic, USA Basketball Camps, and ESPN College GameDay. In the Spring of 2018, I worked my first internship with the Boston Cannons as the Game and Team Operations Intern. The following summer, I held a Gameday Operations Intern position with the Brewster Whitecaps, a team in the Cape Cod Baseball League. During the summer of 2019, I was a full-time Operations Intern with ISlide, a footwear apparel company. My credited internship for Springfield was under the Associate Athletic Director at the University of North Carolina. These experiences have taught me the expectations of the workplace, how to handle the duties and responsibilities that I am assigned, and because of the small business atmospheres, I have begun to excel as a team player.
