• Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a multimillion dollar company operating Skilled Nursing Facilities in Illinois and Missouri. As such, my primary duties are to provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency so our centers can provide quality care and emotional support to our most fragile citizens. • Provided operational oversight and management for up to 8 Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) in Illinois and Missouri. This included budgeting and fiscal responsibility for gross annual revenues of approximately $34.6 million. • Created a comprehensive company training program for 700+ employees that addressed all state and federal training requirements. It also addressed all training from an orientation program through monthly, quarterly, and annual training requirements. • Developed a Leadership Training Package to be given to the leaders in each of our SNFs. I was subsequently asked to brief this initiative at State Association Conventions. One training session saw the largest attendance at a single session in the history of their convention. • Assumed operation of 3 Missouri SNFs which were under scrutiny by the federal Office of Inspector General (OIG). We were interviewed by the federal OIG and had to be accepted by them prior to our operation. Quickly made adjustments which put the facility license in good standing with the survey agency to prevent loss of licensure. OIG was satisfied with our resulting compliance.• Worked with the St. Louis district representative and attorney for the Service Employee’s International Union (SEIU), a major organized labor union. Through skilled negotiation, consensus was quickly achieved between the company and the union while maintaining good relations with SEIU representatives.
