I teach one-on-one private voice and piano lessons to students from 3 years old to adults. My students are given instruction in performance, theory, and technique in piano and voice. I also coach students who are preparing to audition for local community/school theatre productions as well as college auditions. For each student , I create individualized curriculum and lessons based on their needs, interests, and commitments.

As a part of my M.Ed degree, I was a graduate teaching intern in music. In the fall of 2019, I was a graduate teaching intern at Andrew Johnson Elementary School (a "Leader in Me Lighthouse School”) in Kingsport City Schools (Kingsport, TN) where I interned in general music for students Prek-5th grade. I also was a graduate teaching intern at Sullivan South High School in Sullivan County Schools (Kingsport, TN) where I was interning in 9th-12th grade choir.

I was the interim music teacher at Boones Creek Elementary for the months of February and March while their music teacher was on medical leave. With this position, I taught general music to Prek-8th grade students.

I taught English vocabulary and grammar to students living in Asia through the online ESL platform Qkids. I facilitated learning through games and lesson plans provided by Qkids, and created props/other materials to aid lessons and create engagement with my students. Students differed in each lesson and ranged in age from four years old to twelve years old.

I created the first children’s music program at Oak Grove as a summer children's program for the summer of 2019. With this, I led weekly engaging music rehearsals with selected singing and games, and also researched and brought into rehearsals age-appropriate resources and materials. The program had a mix of children ranging from preschool age to middle school age, and ended with an "end of summer" children's music program during a Sunday morning service in August.

As a work-study position, I was a stage manager for the Milligan College Music Department and the Seeger Memorial Chapel building as a whole. In this role, I set up weekly rehearsals for the choirs, orchestra, jazz ensemble, the a cappella groups, and guitar ensemble. I also set up all concerts and events within the music department including Christmas concerts, Homecoming concerts, orchestra and choir concerts, junior/senior music major recitals, and music student applied recitals, as well as having equipment ready and/or out of the way for outside events coming into our facilities. I made sure music stands, chairs, stand lights, and instruments were readily available when the Johnson City Symphony would come to perform at Seeger Chapel. I organized and inventoried music department music stands, chairs, instruments, resources, music, and other pieces of equipment as needed. I assisted the department faculty and staff by doing the above and also making copies, creating lesson/rehearsal materials, organizing music/books, tutoring music students, and being a music department ambassador to prospective students, their families, and the community.

As a high school student within the school system (and also during my first few years of college) I was a student information technology associate. I assisted in the implementation of new technology system-wide/school-by-school basis. I worked with my team to do daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning, organizing, updating, and cataloging technology as needed. During the summer back to school registration events I aided students and families in online school registration at all schools in the district. I led the completion of technology inventory during summer months at all six schools and two administrative buildings. I also aided the district in the first implementation of 1:1 laptops for students in the district in the preparation of the laptops for students, the passing out of the laptops, and the retrieval of the laptops at the end of the school year. These duties were performed during my time throughout the four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, one alternative learning school, and two administrative buildings.
