Digital Prepress Technician
Current* Perform all functions required to complete ROP and Classified paginations. * Communicate and resolve daily production issues with appropriate department representatives, escalating to upper management when necessary. * Enter all production and press setup into appropriate software systems for all local and commercial print customers. * Process customer supplied files and preform quality checks to identify any problems, reporting back to the client to resolve production issues. * Perform soft proofing and overall quality review of all pages for local BSMG products to ensure accuracy and print quality standards are achieved. * Place house ads that are appropriate for the product, section and page. Maintain and update house ad library. * Accurately process digital ads received from advertisers and third party services by specified deadlines. * Perform ad building functions, scanning photos and art as required. * Provide photo quality prints for external and internal customers. * Perform all ad and editorial layout responsibilities as required.* Coordinate page output on the CTP lines with the plate room personnel to ensure all press deadlines are achieved. * Produce daily reports and distribute to the proper email recipients group. * Meet all production deadlines.
