Through 9 years working in administrative positions in museums, I have gained valuable experience that has allowed me to tailor my philosophies in both employee management and exhibit design. As a manager, I emphasize a team-first approach that encourages open communication and joint efforts on projects. This is further supplemented by recognizing both exceptional individual and team efforts.With exhibits, I strive to create experiences that pair visitor engagement with educational experiences in an active learning setting. It has been my experience that visitor behaviors conform to the patterns of "Multiple Intelligences." As such, I strive to include as many learning styles as possible in guiding the learning experiences within the exhibits.Finally, my work has strongly emphasized financial efficiency. In each of the last two jobs, I have worked to cut costs within departments by 25% or more while maintaining or improving positive visitor feedback.
