Responsible for:- Assisting in the monitoring of the companies safety performance and convey information out into the workplaces Carrying out Safety and Environmental audits on all current, active sites Assist in accident investigations, carrying out interviews etc to identify root causes and suggest improvements Constantly monitoring and reviewing the companies Health and Safety System, implementing change and improvement as required.

Responsible for: - Deputising for the Site Manager in his absence when I am responsible for the effective co-ordination of day to day site operations and for ensuring that operations are carried out as safely and efficiently as possible. Carry out accident investigations and disciplinary procedures where necessary Keeping Health and Safety documents up to date and ensuring that all personnel on site are adequately inducted, trained and assessed for competence. Chairing and taking minutes of various meetings on site including Site Safety Committee meetings Dealing with, liaising and monitoring the work of Site Contractors Monitoring and summarizing Site operating costs on a weekly and monthly basis. Oversee all Site engineering work. Oversee all Blasting operations ( appointed explosives supervisor )

Responsible for: - Maintaining accurate records of all excavations including the method of working. Setting out excavation limits in accordance with design criteria. Monitoring site progression by means of accurate surveys, making sure works progress in accordance with agreed design and drawing any matters of concern to the Site Manager. Working on changes to Mine design using LSS software package. Includes various ramp designs, pit models and sidewall profiles. Training and progression of junior engineer and survey assistant ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed as per company policy.
