Director of Mechanical Engineering: Contributing member of multidisciplinary team developing cutting edge LED lighting and controls. Core technology is a revolutionary on-device system for monitoring and controlling the color point and intensity of LED light sources. This “self-reflective” feedback loop allows the lighting system to actively self-adjust for temperature, age, and manufacturing differences. - As the first hire in product development, helped build the infrastructure required to bring quality products to market- Recruited and am the hands-on lead of a team of 6 mechanical engineers (leading as an individual contributor)- Utilize creative proto/model making techniques to provide earlysamples to enable pre-production sales - Work together with sales & marketing to concisely define product goals and then actively managed the development to ensure those goals are met- Utilize FEA software and empirical testing to quickly optimize designs - R&D of proprietary testing and calibration equipment - lab development to mass production scale- UL compliance management – guiding the design for compliance, pre-testing, tracking the testing and filing process
