Mr. Magee is a registered civil technologist who has worked with WorleyParsons since August 2011 in the Fort St. John location. Prior to WorleyParsons, he has conducted work on contaminated sites for several clients in NE BC Oil & Gas Industry since 2006. A majority of his experience has involved a wide range of basic to complex logistical projects in contaminated sites which include Groundwater (developing/monitoring/sampling), OGC part 1’s, Phase/Stage 2's, to Remedial projects, Spill Response, and Waste Water projects within the Tumbler Mines . The contaminated site work involvee tasks such as drilling supervision, soil and groundwater sampling, surveying, soil management and classification, excavation and general earthworks.The waste water work involves tasks such as construction supervision of sediment ponds and waste water treatment plants.

Perform Stage I and Stage II assessments under the BC contaminated sites regulation. Supervise flare pit, sump and historical spill remediation. Field duties include soil and groundwater sampling, drilling, and installation of monitoring wells. Supervise construction of hazardous waste bio-cells to satisfy the requirements of BC regulations, perform inspections and maintenance on existing bio-cells. Emergency spill response to the release of condensate, produced water, sour gas and other upstream oil and gas products. Responsible for managing equipment and personnel for product containment and recovery of hazardous waste. Designed various erosion control methods for areas that have been disturbed by different projects. Project coordination and management of equipment and personnel, communication with clients, contractors, consultants, landowners and regulators. Technical report writing and data analysis. Development of cost estimates and cost tracking for projects including monitoring third party contractors, laboratories and internal costs. Field Office Safety Representative: worked to help Synergy receive its COR designation; responsible for writing safety policies and procedures for internal use; in charge of organizing and defining the agenda for monthly safety meetings; ensure employees are meeting the company’s safety goals.
