As an estimator be detailed in your analysis of the contract documents to determine overall project requirements, identify any associated risk factors, and ensure to confirm added scope or addenda's that may alter the construction estimate.Some of the most key project tasks are highlighted below:- In pre-construction participate in meetings to provide costing input on construction means and methods- Developing & preparing bid packages with all project stakeholders- Pre-qualification of trade contractors- Reviewing alternates, providing value engineering, and life-cycle costing- Ensuring cost-effectiveness with all project requirements- Establishing methods for risk management- Assisting with insurance, bonding, and contractual requirements- Overseeing the tender process to ensure estimates are all-encompassing- Participate in a well-defined and extensive trade negotiations and start up procedure.- Ensure all parts of your project team both internal and external have the right direction.
