Our goal in working with youth (12/13+) and adults is to engage in a critical dialogues that support healthy practices of self-expression and interpersonal-dynamics, while helping people mobilize healing practices and resources to overcome trauma related to various forms of violence. All too often, Masculine cultural narratives devalue and degrade Femininity/LGBTQIA+ with language that perpetuates male supremacy, while limiting males from being fully human by policing any qualities that are seen as feminine (emotions/crying/compassion/talking things out/etc.). The goal is to humanize feminine qualities that we've stigmatized throughout socialization, so that all people have healthy access to their whole selves. We lead workshops in underserved schools and throughout the community. We provide youth job opportunities to high school students in the Denver Metro area - these youth are trained to lead workshops and other projects to promote healthy relationships. PAVE also provides relationship violence intervention services in several Denver area partner schools, with licensed therapists and a family advocacy services. Show less
