I am a 24 year old starting my career in IT. I recently started my first IT role with Carshield as a Tier 1 IT Support Technician. So far this role has allowed me to learn a lot in the IT industry and has shown me there is a lot more to learn. The technology team at Carshield is amazing, we have an extremely knowledgeable team that constantly supports each other. Along with starting this new role at Carshield, I continue expanding my knowledge by earning more IT certifications. I plan on studying to earn my CompTIA Net+, Sec+ and other certifications. I believe in a field like IT you have to constantly be learning new things to work proficiently. Before starting my career in IT, I worked as a custodian for the Lincoln County R-III School District. Although this job did not help my IT career directly, I did learn how to work better with a large team. During my time with the school district, I worked at multiple buildings and with multiple teams. In only a few years at this job, I earned a day shift/lead position.
