Gulfstream IPT Lead - Led a team of engineers from design finalization and documentation into qualification testing and preparation for certification. Worked closely with the Gulfstream AR (new version of DER) to prepare for FAA certification. Primary customer technical interface.Moog Space and Defense - Supported development and production of missile control actuation systems and other weapons systems.Airbus A350-1000 High Lift Lever Bearing Assembly Design Lead - Developed new concept / technology for high load, compact high lift lever bearing assemblies. This included participating in a multi-month design “plateau” to redesign the high lift system with all wing suppliers on-site in the UK. Additionally, developed forging supplier in Poland and manufacturing supplier in Belgium. Required frequent European travel.Gulfstream G500/G600 Pilot Directional Control System Design and Project Lead - Developed concept for proposal, managed design and analysis team through PDR and CDR. This included supplier development, design for manufacture, design for cost, and all customer interface. Periodic domestic and international travel (France and Belgium) to manage customer and suppliers.Cockpit Control Platform Lead - This ongoing background role includes overall responsibility for all cockpit control design efforts within the company, including proposal work and customer interface. Helped Moog secure it's first active cockpit control actuation system.COMAC C919 Flap Slat Control Lever Design and Project Lead - This effort required establishing a design team at the Moog India Technical Center, leading the team through concept development, requirement definition, prototype build, design turns, technical documentation, configuration management, and on-site coordination with COMAC. Chinook CH47 VCAS Proposal Design Lead - Developed a vibration control actuator for vibration alleviation on the CH47 to reduce crew fatigue.

Overall Student Lead on the 2006-2007 Partnership for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering design project sponsored by GM and Ken Black Racing, involving 200 students from 20 universities around the world. This project required coordinating the efforts of 10 student leads at BYU, who in turn were responsible to coordinate the design efforts of the rest of the 200 students around the world. As student lead, I traveled to several of the universities around the world as well as GM headquarters to establish the project, present the project plan, and develop mentoring relationships for the student designers.

Supported the design of electro-mechanical actuators for use on the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner by creating solid models, engineering drawings, and assemblies using Unigraphics v18. Participated in various proposal efforts creating blank sheet concepts.
