I have been with Hillerich & Bradsby for 24 years. I started as an intern on the helpdesk team while completing my masters in Computer Science and Engineering. Upon graduation I accepted the system Admin position. My responsibilities included managing our network, security and physcial servers.Several year later I joined the Wood Bat factory as a process engineer. During this time I identified processes and designed/implemented technology to automate and improve the buisness. This included projects like production monitoring and integration with our ERP, implementing smart guns (MC9090 at the time) for quick scanning, and developing a system to convert personalized orders into laser ready files (etching text on bats) and creating a queueing/management system for those orders. I then moved into a global position doing the same work, but supporting the entire company. During this time my largest project was being tasked with fixing a failed 3PL migration. This included getting requirements from both our sales and the 3PL, determining and implementing needed data synch points between the systems, identifying/documenting all physical processes, and getting our company and the 3PL on the same page. I also was the project lead for our migration from SAP to Netsuite.7 years ago I moved into the IT Director position, which I am still in today. I have elevated away from implementation, and now spend the majority of my time team building & coaching, strategic planning for future technology, being responsible for all current systems and security in the company, and managing the IT budget. I work closely with the CFO and am part of the leadership team and the operations leadership team for the company. During this time I've put a larger focus into my soft skills (culture building, critical listening, having difficult conversations, ect), managing a team, holding folks accountable in a respectful way, and implementing employee feedback or termination when necessary. I have also spent the past 7 years developing my skills in Netsuite and EOS. I trust in letting my team doing the work while still maintaining a good understanding of what's happening inside my department.
