Working on contract designing, building and commissioning control systems for clients in the Water and the Oil & Gas Industries. systems generally include the Allen Bradley range of PLCs and various SCADA and HMI applications.Also developing database and web applications for one client using SQLserver and ASP.NET

Design authority on a range of projects utilising PC-based SCADA packages, working within a strict company QA regime. Heavily involved at all stages of the project lifecycle from defining customer requirements, analysis and design, to leading project teams through implementation, test and commissioning.Packages used include Intellution FIX, Wonderware INTOUCH & Allen Bradley RSViewEvaluated a number of other SCADA packages (including FactoryLink, Adroit, Cimplicity) for possible use on future projects.

Designed and implemented software for process control, particularly DCS, systems under a BSI accredited QA regime. Effectively established good working relationships with the customer and end-users, which often led to repeat orders. Worked for long periods at site (including a significant time commissioning offshore), or at customers’ premises. Prepared proposals and quotations for contracts up to £200k. Led project teams of up to 5 engineers both in-house and on-site.Systems used include Siemens Teleperm M, Honeywell TDC3000 & Ferranti Argus 700
