The Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission (KHLAAC) is proud to be a part of the Governor’s office. The Commission is a seven member body appointed by the Governor. The Commission serves as a liaison for the Kansas Hispanic & Latino Community and the Office of the Governor. The Commission addresses public policy concerns primarily in the areas related to education, health, and business. The Commission works closely with the Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Legislative Caucus as well as other state agencies in order to improve the lives of all Kansans.

Role: Project Manager for GCCC. Responsible for entire Campus Facilities and grounds: Including, but not limited to, maintenance, custodial, grounds, transportation and security. Oversees the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of campus facilities, including the supervision of new construction and remodeling, grounds and building maintenance. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:25% Develop goals and objectives to insure the Facilities supports the mission, goals, and objectives for the college. Responsible for proper and efficient administration of the faciliities department. Develop department budgets.25% Coordinate projects. Develop specifications and required options and obtain bids. During project development, notify people affected, inspect all projects and repairs, and monitor completion of projects.20% Provide direction and guidance to supervisors in the facilities department. Interview applicants, make employment recommendations.20% Inspect college facilities to determine items that need attention, prioritize those needs to determine which repairs or projects should be completed first.5% Oversee purchasing and inventory of all materials, services, and goods related to the operation and repair of the physical facilities of the college.5% Participates on college committees and performs other duties as needed or assigned.
