Serves as the Director S3/5/7 for USAG Ansbach the strategic aviation power for the United States Army. Responsible for the oversight and execution of garrison operations, security, anti terrorism, training management, force protection, emergency management operations and programs, as well as top level, high visibility efforts involving strategic business planning, management analysis, and integration of continuous process improvement programs and initiatives. Additionally responsible for the planning and oversight of a Rotation Aviation Brigade with over 2,000 Soldiers and assisting with a reach back capability to assist all operations in Bulgaria and Romania. Develops and implements annual, multi-year and longer-range work plans by coordinating with tenant units and the Senior Commander and effectively applies sound program and project management concepts, principles and practices, as well as subject matter expertise on the various program areas and technical disciplines. Works with local German Anti Terrorism government officials to ensure emergency management in the event of a crisis.

Optimized base operations functions through continuous process improvement and performance assessments and executed a $150 million annual budget that provided modern housing and infrastructure, state of the art training, medical care and emergency services facilities, and high quality and relevant base operations, services and programs to the installation’s residents.- Developed and executed deployment/ redeployment operations supporting a Brigade Combat Team personnel and equipment between Baumholder Germany and Iraq. This plan focused on sustainability while improving both facilities and housing within the Baumholder footprint.- Conducted process improvements on the minimally profitable Non-Appropriated Fund program resulting in it becoming the second most profitable Installation in Germany despite the deployment of the Brigade Combat Team. - Implemented all facets of the Army Communities of Excellence (ACOE) program and improved every area of base operations in the Baumholder community. As a result, the Installation was the IMCOM Europe 2d place Installation.- On behalf of USAREUR lead US in co hosting the German Rheinland Pfalz State Fair with over 100,000 visitors to the local Baumholder Community to include working with host nation government officials from the Mayor up up to the Minister President of Rheinland Pfalz.

Responsible for aviation planning and operations of all USAREUR aviation assets deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan. - Oversaw implementation of Title X requirements for US aviation assets in Bosnia and Kosovo, to include self-deployment planning and execution from Germany to the Balkans and developing flying hour programs. - Coordinated and implemented Personnel Recovery (PR) through Headquarters Department of the Army and United States European Command (USEUCOM) to include the design and implementation of the USAREUR Web Based PR training program. - Provided Aviation expertise in support of USAREUR exercises for all deploying aviation units and coordinating PR training for all key members at the Joint Military Training Command (JMTC) exercise through HQDA and USEUCOM.

Served as both the Executive Officer and S3 (Operations Officer) of V Corps Military Intelligence Aerial Exploitation Battalion responsible for conducting intelligence operations in support of operations in both the Balkans and Combined Joint Task Force VII operations in Iraq. - Responsible for the employment of USAREUR’s only Guardrail Common Sensor and Hunter UAV battalion and its Intelligence Processing Facility (IPF) with direct coordination with Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA) to ensure the battalion supported ongoing SIGINT and ELINT collection requirements throughout the EUCOM and CENTCOM areas of responsibility. - Planned, resourced and executed the evaluation and training for Soldiers in 50 different MOSs. - Conducted a simultaneous deployment of equipment and aircraft from Italy and Germany to OIF while taking operational control of the entire Army’s 3 Hunter UAV companies and IGNAT UAV assets. - Operated across the entire OIF AOR to include collection on HPTs to supporting UAV collection of Al Najaf to aid in the elimination of dozens of insurgents.• Led the battalion to winning the FY03 HQDA Award for Maintenance Excellence. - Responsible for sustaining the battalion in all areas of ground and air maintenance, risk management, legal, administrative, religious, morale and family readiness issues. - Integrated, synchronized and developed a battalion staff of seven officers and eleven NCOs and enlisted Soldiers.
