I currently serve as an Executive Policy & Budget Analyst in Wisconsin State Budget Office within the Department of Administration.-Lead presentations to governors and senior administration leadership on state agency budget requests and defined the fiscal and policy implications of potential budget initiatives, in advance of biennial executive budget introduction. -Utilize Oracle technology (PeopleSoft and Business Intelligence) to retrieve fiscal data for budget development and year-round fiscal analysis and forecasting. This includes utilizing PeopleSoft queries to obtain financial data to assist with state agencies with end of fiscal year accounting duties. -Collaborated with administration leadership and members of the State of Wisconsin Group Insurance Board on the development of the Governor’s proposal to self-insure the state employee Group Health Insurance Program. This assignment required a combination of fiscal and policy analysis and strong stakeholder communication. -Conduct budgetary and policy analysis of the annual modifications to the Group Health Insurance Program, including the financial implications of annual program reserves buy-downs. -Provide governors and senior administration leadership with information and fiscal analysis of potential changes to employee compensation, employee health insurance, and fringe benefits at-large, in advance of budget development. -Assisted in the development and implementation of the enterprise-wide H.R. Shared Services Initiative. -Areas of expertise include government budgeting and accounting, GAAP accounting, internal controls, employee group health insurance, employee compensation and benefit policy, human resources and collective bargaining. -Designated as a representative of the DOA Modern Workplace Committee, a group that is tasked with producing recommendations to facilitate employee retention and job satisfaction.
