Converted my bio to a funky style using an AI APP! (Thanks to my daughter, Rachel, for the encouragement!)Yo, party people! So, back in December 2010, UCT officially threw a retirement bash for me. But guess what? Retirement didn't mean putting on slippers and sipping tea – oh no, it was just the beginning of my funky journey!My research game has been all about the groove, with a serious focus on I.S. people management and getting those projects pumping. Shoutout to the legends I've dropped knowledge bombs with – the late Prof Dan Couger vibing on Motivation and the late Prof Magid Igbaria keeping it real on IT staff turnover and retention.I've been the maestro, guiding post-grad cool cats through their theses. Picture this: 2010, six Masters candidates hit the stage, three rocking it with distinction. 2011, three more Masters grads dropping knowledge bombs. Topics were like a mixtape – IT Program Management, IT Value, IT/Business Alignment, IT Staff Motivation, Telecommuting, and all the funky beats of strategic project management.In '89, I co-founded the Faculty Training Institute (FTI) – we're talking about creating, developing, and teaching the groovy Diploma in IT Project Management until I hung up my party hat at retirement.Post-UCT, I teamed up with Getsmarter until Dec 2018, jamming out a PM short course that's been turning heads for years, attracting over 1000 students. The real magic happened with Getsmarter and UCT – together, we laid down the tracks for a 12-month NQF7 Advanced Diploma in Business Project Management. Five runs, nearly 1000 graduates – we were on fire! Sadly, that vibe isn't on the menu anymore, but guess what? I own the intellectual property for those 48 mind-blowing modules.Now, let's talk certifications – I've been rocking the Project Management Professional (PMP) status since 2004, keeping it real until January 2019 when they officially classified me as the Retired Status MVP.
