Senior Engineer

Service Systems Engineer, which is the highest engineer role within Canon UK. As well as my break/fix calls, I regularly attend escalation calls from other engineers within Scotland and have successfully attended several partner escalations on behalf of the Canon UK Field support specialist team. I have presented annual Health & Safety update seminars to the Scottish engineers and carry out Field Compliance Assessments annually, spending a day with the east coast engineers, where i check that they are working safely and completing Canon’s health and safety checks correctly as required. I have been involved with mentoring/training of two apprentices over the past few years and on occasions have stood in for the Area service manager / attended customer account reviews on his behalf. I am also trained to work on and carry out safety testing on 3-phase equipment.

Day to day contract management between customer and manufacturing

Maintenance and fault finding on railway signalling equipment.

preparation of tender documents for oil,gas and marine projects.

Broad based engineering training, working in all departments of the business. This resulted in me being offered a position preparing estimates and tender documents for electrical engineering projects.
