CurrentServes as the primary contact between DHCS and assigned county Medi-Cal behavioral health programs and/or behavioral health providers to monitor compliance with state and federal requirements, clarify Medi-Cal policy and provide technical assistance. Implements program monitoring of counties and/or contracted providers, including but not limited to the following activities: desk reviews, onsite visits, analyses of data and documentation to determine compliance with state and federal requirements. Reviews and approves county and/or provider policies and procedures or other documentation, as applicable. Conducts readiness reviews of counties to determine readiness to implement Medi-Cal managed care programs. Reviews, validates, approves, and monitors Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and other corrective documentation submitted by counties and/or providers. Monitors progress of CAP, reviews evidence of correction, conducts follow-up, and makes recommendations to resolve CAPs. Makes recommendations regarding enhanced monitoring, including but not limited to the imposition of administrative and financial sanctions, to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Conducts risk assessments of counties and/or providers. Collects, tracks and analyzes data and other county reports. Gathers, analyzes information and prepares reports on monitoring trends and county and/or provider performance that describes in detail the strengths and areas in need of improvement of assigned counties and or providers.
