I have always been a great lover for Technology. I think it is one of the most if not the most important element that drives people and the world forward. As the world and its people grow its stickiness on technology, naturally, there’s a great need for pioneers and innovators that can come up with new products and ideas that can keep the wheel spinning. As such, I am aspired to become a true innovator and a game changer in the banking field someday. With a great passion to innovate and create great products that can enhance the experience and well-being of the users, my career so far has revolved around managing e-banking platforms for Transaction banking products from Cash Management, Securities Services and Trade and Supply Chain.As the subject matter expertise and owner of the product, I was the ‘know it all’ and ‘person to go to’ person and I am held accountable for the product’s success or failure. In the case of a client incident which affects the productivity of thousands of customers, I had to be present to keep both our internal senior stakeholders and clients abreast of the situation and help resolve the issue with the relevant teams in the shortest time possible. In my past and present roles, I have always been grateful to have the luxury to assess my customer’s needs either from the customer or through front-line colleagues who come at me to arrive at the right proposition. Spending time to come up with the solution from user requirements, overseeing its development and finally, seeing it mature into an actual product from a thought or idea that is released to the public feels magical and gives me tremendous satisfaction. Last but not least, seeing customers utilising the benefits of my solution much resembles to a farmer growing fruits and reaping the fruits of hard labour after waiting a long time for the fruits to ripen.
