Offshore Integrity service engineer; Main duties include but are not limited to, New sliding - Hinged door - Window installation. Maintenance work to existing serviceable doors / Platform survey work to ascertain remedial work required to maintain T.R. and module integrity on Offshore Platforms, Semi- submersibles and F.P.S.Os.Team leader on several major safety critical Integrity upgrades for Apache, B.P, CNOOC, Conoco Phillips, ENI, Maersk, Shell, Spirit-Energy, Talisman, Repsol Synopec, Taqa and Total. I have worked on a wide variety of manufacturers doors Inc, Booth, McGeoch Marine, Momec, Point, Rapp Bomec, Van Dam. Assisted on PFEER tests and fault finding on several different platforms and FPSOs around the UKCS including;Centrica- AP1, DP6, DP4, Calder.EnQuest- Kittiwake.Chevron- Alba FSU. A.O.C. Anasuria.All the work scopes have been carried out to industry standards and without damage to the plant or the asset and no one has had an accident or an injury on any of the tasks that I have been supervising.

Working part time at the garage in between trips offshore. Main duties included servicing, M.O.T preparation and repairs.Ordering spare parts from main dealers / motor factors and dealing with customers / booking in vehicles / pricing repair work.

As a Workshop Specialist i was responsible for business development and year on year sales growth from my customer base that covered an area from Montrose to Oban and above. It also incuded Orkney, Shetland, Skye and Lewis. I achieved y.o.y sales growth by listening to the customers and not selling what they didn't want but what they really needed to help their business to move forward and achieve growth. Selling up to quality equipment brands instead of just selling cheaper products goes along way in building trust between the client and the company, there is nothing worse than getting beaten over the head with " see that useless piece of equipment you sold me it's broken again " every time you go into a particular garage. Selling up included selling in Management systems and Value added Packages that would help tie the customer to using your services and products instead of a competitors. A good piece of advice i was given was " you were given two ears and one mouth " listen twice as much as you talk.

I started with the company as a fitter but within a few months I was promoted up to workshop foreman.Workshop Forman; Main duties included delegating the workload, and making sure that the workshop was always clean and tidy, and ensuing that Heath and Safety guidelines were being adhered to.Assistant Manager; Main duties included assisting the centre manager in the day to day running of the busy centre. This included checking and ordering in stock as required, delegating the daily workload to the workshop foreman, carrying out daily checks on Health and Safety equipment and registering any defect / ensuring that the plant or equipment was segregated and not used until serviceable. Stock rotation, dealing with the general public and manufacturers representatives and ensuring that we complied with our ISO 9001 Accreditation.

Vehicle Technician in a Rover Dealership. Main duties included carrying out new vehicle Pre Delivery Inspections (P.D.Is) , servicing and fault diagnosis.

Alan Milne Ltd was a Volvo Dealership in Elgin but i also gained experience working on a diverse variety of vehicles, Ford, Vauxhall, Renault etc. Attended manufacturer training courses at Daventry training centre.
