Every ride on a METRO bus takes cars off the road and significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.In this role, I oversee METRO’s Capital Project and Programming functions, including compliance with federal, state and local grant funding programs and reporting requirements. I am also currently serving as Program Manager for METRO’s ambitious hydrogen fuel cell electric bus (FCEB) and hydrogen fuel storage and dispensing facility design and construction projects. METRO is converting its entire bus fleet to zero-emissions buses (ZEBs) and has purchased nine (9) battery-electric buses (BEBs) and has placed one of the nation’s largest orders of FCEBs with 44 40’ and nine (9) 60’ articulated FCEBs to be delivered by 2025.

Significant accomplishments include expansion and enhancements related to the region's FasTrak® Advanced Toll Collection and Accounting System (ATCAS II) and Clipper® Transit Fare Collection programs. • ATCAS II Implementation - In 2013-2014, I oversaw a comprehensive effort to replace and upgrade electronic toll collection and violation enforcement equipment on the Antioch, Benicia, Carquinez, Dumbarton, Richmond, San Mateo, and San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridges. I also developed a scope of work to evaluate the conversion to All-Electronic Tolling (AET) on the seven state-owned bridges. • Clipper Phase III Expansion - From 2014-2017, I led the effort to expand the Clipper transit fare payment program from eight to 22 agencies, including 14 successful deployments on buses, ferry terminals and rail station platforms.     I-15 Express Lanes Toll Collection System Integration - Project Manager for the phased installation of an all new open road tolling (ORT) system – an element of the $1.3 billion overhaul of the 20-mile Express Lanes corridor in San Diego—an award winning project recognized as California’s Freeway Project of the Year in 2009. The $51 million I-15 Express Lanes Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM) project replaced the nation’s original HOT lane electronic toll collection system, I-15 FasTrak®, and included over 30 new tolling and signing locations, and new lane and host hardware and software. Also responsible for management of the I-15 FasTrak® Customer Service Center, including planning, purchasing and financial aspects of this program, legislative and policy matters, and developed Internet- and phone-based account management systems and market-driven account plans that address the needs of a growing FasTrak® customer base.HOV Express Lanes Enforcement Study - Led FHWA-funded study of violation enforcement system (VES) applications for HOV and Express Lanes. This project was conducted in parallel with the I-15 Toll Systems Integration effort and involved technology trade studies, public outreach and an invitation to private industry to deploy and test their innovative VES products. The results of this study were beneficial to other metropolitan regions in the country that are considering developing Express Lanes.I-15 Express Lanes Traffic Incident Management Study - Subject matter expert on study that identified best practices in freeway traffic management, estimated traffic volumes for all phases of construction, and developed detailed traffic operation and incident management plans for the I-15 Express Lanes facility.
