Tandem, is a challenger bank bringing a unique focus on tech and green banking, to play a part in the UK's transition to a low carbon economy. As SMF 24 I was responsible for establishing a period of stability in the bank's operations after a significant systems migration and delivering on a series of regulatory commitments to the PRA on Operational Resilience and IT Security. I left Tandem after the merger with Oplo.

I was SMF 1 and responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Cabot UK Debt Purchase business which grew EBIT at 13% CAGR. Cabot is one of the largest debt purchasers in the UK, handling 4.5 million customers. My focus was on building a strong culture based on helping customers in difficult circumstances and empowering colleagues, enabled by the deployment of leading-edge technology and analytics. I left Cabot 18 months after the successful exit of our Private Equity shareholders.

I joined Travelex as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in May 2012. I was responsible for the IT operations, infrastructure and applications that drive the Group’s retail, wholesale and outsourced services businesses worldwide. I led a global infrastructure and platform consolidation programme, which resulted in significant ongoing cost reduction and significant improvements in service levels to colleagues and customers. I left Travelex a year after the successful exit of our Private Equity shareholders.

As Intergration director I led the successful migration of HBOS Retail, Commercial and Corporate banking businesses onto the LloydsTSB platform which completed in 2011. I led the programme from the design and planning stages, navigating the whole bank, and ultimately delivering a successful migration of 30m accounts and £127bn of balances in a single weekend.During my twelve years at HBOS / Lloyds Banking Group I managed several other large-scale IT change programmes and held a number of key positions including Head of Retail Operations and IT managing 14,000 people, and Head of Retail Risk. Earlier in my career I spent time working for the AMEX cards business before moving to the challenger bank, Bank One to head up credit card operations. I am also a qualified chartered accountant.
