Supply Chain Risk Manager/DMSMS & Obsolescence duties:•Create and developing DMSMS Management Plan (DMP) based on program needs.•Lead technical performance of Obsolescence Management / Diminishing Material Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), including Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) reporting.•Interface with program IPT's and managers, customers, and suppliers.•Create / execute a Proactive Parts Obsolescence / DMSMS Plan in accordance with Aircraft Program Requirements.•Review supplier BOM's for obsolete parts and be primary interface with supply base for OBS and DMSMS issues.•Identify, manage, and track parts obsolescence issues and diminishing manufacturing source issues in accordance with Program Parts Obsolescence Plan.•Work with IPT’s, Suppliers, and Customer to analyze obsolete items, assess impact, and propose potential resolution options.•Upon mutual concurrence with Program Office on course of action, document final resolution of obsolescence cases based off SD-22 United States Government Defense Standardization Program Office guidebook.•Report on closure status of all identified obsolescence cases on program as contractually required.•Ability to provide technical input to Sole Source Justifications (SSJ’s), in accordance with FAR/DFAR regulations, and V2X compliance standards, policies and procedures.•Ability to provide technical input on Similar Too Analysis for Price and Cost Analysis in accordance with FAR/DFAR regulations, and Vertex compliance standards policies and procedures.•Lead the Supplier Capability Assessment & Approval Process, by conducting site visits and assessing manufacturing and technology capabilities.•Create and develop Statements of Objectives (SOO), Statements of Work (SOW) based of need from program office.•Develop and implement systems for performance metrics used to highlight need for process improvements or management emphasis.

•Providing assistance to the Strategic Alternate Sourcing Program Office (SASPO) in supporting newly identified requirements with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Materiel Shortages (DMSMS) and obsolescence management for the sustainment or improvements of all weapon systems and end items currently in the Air Force inventory.•Assisting with program management policies and procedures in order to support the identification validation prioritization coordination execution and management of Reverse Engineering and Repair Development (RE/RD) projects. •Identifying parts that are RE/RD candidates or that fall under the Reliability Availability and Maintainability Competition (RAM-C) category; and assist Government Program Managers in developing documentation to present RE/RD items at Industry Days and by entering RAM-C projects into the Maintenance Engineering Project Sustainment Tool (MPST).•Developing acquisition strategies to include initiating reviewing developing and implementing activities to accomplish modification alternatives maintenance and supportability concepts Business Case Analysis (BCA) Performance Work Statements (PWSs) Data Items Descriptions (DIDs) test plans Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs) and Logistics Health Assessments (LHAs).•Assist Government Program Managers in developing contracting strategies and conducting market research.•Knowledge and experience with logistics processes and procedures to include performing technical and logistical analysis and assisting with repair concepts.•Knowledge and experience with configuration and logistics management computer systems such as DO43 DO35 JEDMICS Haystack ILS DoD FEDMALL TAS AVCOM G005M DLA 339 & 202 Systems SCS and SRRB.•Experience with manufacturing drawings and specifications analysis interpretation related to program management.

Engineering Technician Duties:• Identify, analyze and solve obsolescence issues across multiple platforms before they impact sustainment and recommend solutions to the Air Force to mitigate obsolescence issues impact on systems, LRU’s and SRU’s.• Access, utilize, interpret and prepare recommended changes to the government owned technical data. (including AFTO form 22/252 or commercial equivalent)• Access, utilize, interpret and prepare recommended changes to the engineering drawings utilizing data repositories such as Joint Engineering Data Management Information Controls System (JEDMICS) or commercial equivalent.• Use knowledge in semiconductors and electronics to identify sources of supply and Form/Fit/Function and Interface (F3I) replacement recommendations.• Use knowledge of logistics and repair concepts for avionic systems.• Experience in the use of configuration and logistics management computer systems such as D043; D035; JEDMICS; HAYSTACK; ILS; LIMS-EV; DoD EMALL; ETIMS and the utilization of a DMSMS predictive tool.• Perform analyses and resolution of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages. (DMSMS)• Identify and solve DMSMS issues to reduce Mission Capability (MICAP) incidents, back orders, depot repair awaiting parts (AWPs) and increase systems availability for Air Force managed weapon systems.• Perform technical and logistical analysis and provide detailed technical data to support the replacement of the components for items where the manufacturer has discontinued the production, including: Reclamation, aftermarket, F3I substitutions, emulation and complete redesigns.• Update analysis and resolutions information into the Air Force DMSMS predictive tool.• Other duties assigned.
