About Derek Welsh

I am an Electrical Engineer that has worked in the HVAC DDC Control industry for 3.5 years, the Industrial Control industry for 3.5 years in both Aerospace and Wastewater industries, and have worked as an electrical MEP consultant for a combined total of 2.5 years.Currently I am unemployed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and am learning about programming FPGA's, microcontrollers, and circuit design through projects and online courses to keep my mind fresh while job searching. My goal is to find a job in a field where I can use these skills, regardless of my past experience. I have been contemplating going back to school for a Masters Degree and am definitely open to it if it's something my future employer either requires or finds value in.
