As a Doctoral Student in Clinical Psychology at Liberty University, I am working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. My first year of studies has sparked a deep interest in neuroscience, nutritional psychiatry and behavioral sleep medicine. In my practicum training, I want to diversify my clinical experiences by working with all age groups. My unique life experiences, including military service, collegiate athletics, and overcoming childhood cancer, have enabled me to connect with and support a diverse range of clients effectively.Before pursuing my graduate studies, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Military Resilience from Liberty University. During this time, I collaborated with mental health professionals at multiple military bases to raise awareness about mental health and offer support to service members. Concurrently, I was a non-commissioned officer in charge of a 7-member commander support team in the United States Air Force. In this role, I managed various programs, projects, and budgets while also providing guidance and quality checks for evaluations, awards, and requests. My career and educational journey have honed my communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and presenting skills.Motivated by my faith, curiosity, and drive to make a positive impact, I am always eager to expand my knowledge, collaborate with others, and embrace new challenges. I firmly believe in the power of psychology as a tool for comprehending human behavior, emotions, and cognition and for facilitating healing, growth, and resilience in individuals.
