Derek White is an internationally renowned business leader, investor and ecosystem builder, who has been at the forefront of financial services innovation for over two decades - a serial creator of many world firsts. As CEO at Galileo Financial Technologies, he’s scaling the business across 15 new geographies, diversifying the client base, increasing platform capabilities and product, and delivering YoY financial performance improvements. He also led the recent $1bn M&A of digital banking platform, Technisys. Prior to this, Derek held a number of global C-Suite leadership roles across North America, EMEA & UK, Latam, and Asia Pacific.With a focus on human-centric design and impact creation, notable achievements include helping to launch the world's first Internet bank, and spearheading the digital transformation of banking giants like Barclays, BBVA, and US Bank. His ‘create amazing’ design philosophy has led to groundbreaking services, such as mobile payments, award-winning banking apps, and the first fintech accelerator. At Google Cloud Financial Services, Derek worked with Chairs, CEOs and C-Suites from global multi-nationals to start-ups, enabling them to catalyse their growth and redefine their operating strategies with Google’s Cloud, AI and Data innovations. Away from work, he spends his free time in the mountains and lakes close to his family’s home in Utah. It's this love of the environment - preserving and improving it - which led him to take up his Chairman role, for Switch2Zero - a global sustainability platform whose mission is to help anyone, anywhere, live and work in a more earth-positive way.
