I joined CBIZ MHM to establish and lead the Business and Technology Risk Services (BTRS) practice for the local Kansas City office and have grown it to one of the largest risk practices in the firm. The practice consists of four primary service lines – Information Technology Audit and Consulting; Internal Audit Cosourcing and Outsourcing; Sarbanes-Oxley Consulting; and, Third Party Attestation (SAS70) services. I am responsible for all aspects of the practice including strategic planning; annual budgeting and monitoring; staffing and career development; sales and marketing; product development; project management and delivery; team scheduling; and, billing and collections. In addition to the local office responsibilities, I am the Midwest Regional Leader for Information Technology and SAS 70 services. In this capacity, I am responsible for the development and quality of these service offerings throughout the Midwest region. I served as a Senior Manager for the Enterprise Risk Services group in Kansas City. Projects managed include internal controls reviews (operational and technology); third party internal control reviews (e.g., SAS70); internal audit cosourcing engagements; process re-engineering; and security assessments. Administrative duties included the recruiting, development and utilization of staff; development and monitoring of annual budget; managing client relationships; marketing and selling of service lines; and, billing and collections of project receivables.
