Implementing "World-Class" principles and automation to create, optimised production workflowsFor the past 20 years I have been striving to encourage new ways to assimilate and improve productivity in print and mail related processes. This has required patience and tenacity in order to influence established mind sets and industry norms. Having previously worked on a "world-class" manufacturing program in the electro-mechanical sector my move into the print and mailing industry introduced some significant challenges, not least the variations of printed material. Over this time the mailing sector has seen dramatic change:- Postal costs have soared, communications have become more personalised and require delivery via multiple channels. This has resulted in smaller batch sizes and greater variety; both of which challenge traditional production methods.In order to remain competitive the industry has had to review its technology and processes. The need for speed has been replaced by a need to automate more, maximise flexibility and deliver the highest levels of process accuracy, integrity and reporting. My expertise is in identifying areas for efficiency gains and streamlining production touch-points, whilst enhancing compliance and enabling “value-add” service offerings.Ready to Talk?
