I'm overseeing the implementation of the Philadelphia Youth Network's first text message campaign aimed at encouraging and aiding youth to enroll in its summer jobs programs. Using the platform Signal Vine, I've developed the campaign and have provided assistance to several hundred youth so far (with more about to be added to the list). This work is part of a study of the efficacy of the Philadephia Youth Network's WorkReady program organized by faculty at Penn and MIT's Poverty Action Lab.

My primary responsibility was to oversee the production of content for the evaluation reports that Templeton produces for nearly all its closed grants (researching, writing, editing, managing the work of other writers). I also helped manage contracts for several bibliometrics projects, provided advice to potential grantees on the evaluative portions of their proposals, helped code and analyze a variety of data pertaining to the performance of Templeton's past grants, and contributed to ongoing strategic planning initiatives.

I was responsible for all aspects of Templeton's process for producing evaluation reports for individual closed grants: research, writing, getting the reports approved by relevant stakeholders, etc. (the process wasn't scaled up as fully as it was when I was an Officer and so was manageable for one person). I also contributed data coding and analysis to efforts to understand Templeton's historical grant-making, was one of the leaders of a successful effort to overhaul Templeton's grantee reporting system, and contributed background research and critical reflection to strategic planning initiatives.
